General characteristics:
Offering excellent grip and intuitive blade assembly and disassembly, this scalpel handle is available in two models:
Handle #3 is compatible with sterile scalpel blades #6, 9, 10, 11, 11P, E11, 12, 12D, 13, 14, 15, 15A, 15C, 15T, 16, 40
Handle No. 4 is compatible with sterile scalpel blades No. 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 22A, 23, 24, 25, 25A, 26, 27, 36.
Tips for assembling and disassembling the blades:
To attach a standard blade to a handle with a wide or narrow end:
• Grasp the blade with pliers or any other similar instrument, avoiding contact with the cutting edge.
• Hold the handle with your other hand with the mount facing upwards.
Position the blade opening on the end of the handle and engage the grooves.
• Slide the blade until it clicks into position.
• To facilitate assembly, slightly bend (twist downwards) the blade by sliding it onto the handle.
To remove the blade:
• Grasp the blade with a pair of pliers or any other similar instrument.
• Lift the base of the blade with the tip of your index finger, avoiding contact with the edge, and carefully remove it from the handle.
