The URGO Waterproof – Large Dressing is designed to protect superficial wounds, even when taking baths and showers. This will be a great relief if you need to protect wounds from contact with water.
Flexible, it adapts to all your movements by easily conforming to different areas of the body, for maximum comfort!
Its transparent backing allows for monitoring the wound.
Its pad covered with a non-adherent film prevents it from sticking to the wound and allows for pain-free removal.
Sterile, it helps limit the risk of infection.
Instructions for use:
1. Skin preparation
- If necessary, shave hair to ensure good adhesion of the dressing
- Thoroughly disinfect the wound, rinse, and dry carefully
- If necessary, perform hemostasis of the wound (stop the bleeding)

Precautions for use:
Avoid tension during application
Replace the dressing, according to the instructions, on average every 2 to 3 days and:
- if there is any doubt about the dryness of the pad after bathing, showering, or hydrotherapy
- if the pad is saturated with blood or exudates
Under medical prescription, the dressing can be kept in place for a maximum of 7 days.
In all cases, regularly monitor the wound or puncture site and surrounding areas to detect any signs of infection such as pain, redness, swelling, unusual odor, or discharge.
If in doubt, contact your doctor or nursing service.
Do not use the dressing on infected wounds, infected puncture sites, deep, bleeding, or heavily exuding wounds.
Do not use for covering central venous catheters.
Single use (otherwise risk of infection) – Do not re-sterilize – Check the integrity of the individual sterile packaging before use.
Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days.
Do not use on newborns weighing less than 3.5 kg.
Do not expose to prolonged light.
Composition:
Polyurethane film coated with an acrylic adhesive mass.
Non-woven absorbent pad covered with a non-adherent protective polyethylene film.
Sterile dressing.
