Kinesiology Tape - Urgo

URGO Kinesiology Tape is an elastic adhesive tape that allows you to support the muscle dynamically and accompany movement without limiting joint mobility.

This band is breathable and water-resistant for long-lasting wear of up to 3 days . It is suitable for anyone over 16 years of age who may be engaged in physical activity or exertion (sports, standing or sitting work, construction, moving, etc.).

Urgo Kinesiology Tape comes with instructions detailing step-by-step application techniques for 6 areas. Application videos are also available by scanning the QR code on the tape box.

Areas concerned: knee (patella), ankle (Achilles tendon), shoulder (subacromial impingement), elbow (epicondylitis or tennis elbow), neck (trapezius muscles), lumbar spine.

The application illustrations are indicative; do not hesitate to seek the advice of a specialist if you have any doubts.

Advice before use:

• Cleanse and dry the skin. Ensure your skin has not been treated with oily creams or lotions and is not particularly hairy. Adhesion is reduced in cases of heavy hair growth.
• Use a clean and disinfected pair of scissors before cutting the strips. Trim the corners of the strip before applying it to round off the ends; this ensures a better fit.

Applications:

• Don't hesitate to ask a friend or family member for help applying the strips.
• The strip is not repositionable once applied.
• When you take a shower, it is not necessary to remove the strip.
• Remove only part of the backing paper to stick the strip, then remove the rest. If you touch the sticky part of the strip, it will no longer stick.
• Apply gently to avoid discomfort or tightness. Do not apply too much pressure or in a circular motion to avoid a tourniquet effect.
• Smooth the strips carefully during installation to avoid the formation of creases.

Contraindications:

URGO Kinesiology Tape is contraindicated:

• In case of a sprain
• For securing and holding wet equipment and probes (hematology, intensive care, incubators)

Precautions for use:

• Do not use the bandage on a clean or infected wound.
• Do not use in case of joint instability
• If you have a history of skin allergies, apply a piece of the strip to the skin for a few hours before use.
• If irritation, rash, or redness occurs, discontinue use of the strips.
• Consult your doctor if you have any doubts.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children
• Do not store near a heat source or in the light.
• Single-use strip. Do not reuse a strip that has already been used.
• If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before using the band.
• Apply the bandage with varying degrees of tension, avoiding any sensation of discomfort or tightness. Do not apply excessive tension or apply in a circular motion to prevent a tourniquet effect.

Storage conditions : Relative humidity below 80% in a cool, dry, well-ventilated and clean environment
